Discover our upcoming holiday clubs and give your children an unforgettable adventure at Craigies Farm.
🎃 Farm Activity Club – October 2026 🎃
(Monday 12 – Friday 16 October)
Join us at The Clubhouse this October, where children can explore, learn, and enjoy the very best of Scotland's countryside in its autumn colours during the school holidays — with a little spooky-season fun thrown in. As a working farm, activities will vary each day — but here are just some of the exciting adventures we have planned:
🐐
Animal Care & Feeding
Autumn is a wonderful time to spend with the animals — collecting eggs, preparing food and treats for our goats, bunnies, ponies, and chickens, and learning how each animal is cared for as the farm gets ready for winter. Our Animal Specialists will share fascinating facts and expertly guide children in caring for the animals.
🎃
Growing & Harvesting
October on the farm means the last of the harvest and pumpkin season! Children will help gather autumn produce, tidy the beds for winter, and learn what gets planted now for next year — tasting the difference straight from the field to plate.
🌾
Out in the Fields
In the main farm fields, children will enjoy guided tours, learn about farm machinery and irrigation systems, and take part in hands-on science — such as testing soil, understanding weather patterns, and discovering where crops grow best.
🛠
Traditional Skills & Woodworking
From building raised beds and crafting birdhouses to helping with the coop or creating small woodworking projects to take home, children will develop practical skills alongside creative arts and crafts.
🍽
Cookery & Farm-to-Table Food Prep
Children will learn the basics of baking & cooking, using seasonal autumn produce from the farm wherever possible, and collecting their own eggs — learning about where food comes from and how it changes throughout the year.
🌳
Forest Exploration & Bushcraft
Led by our in-house Forest Ranger, children will explore the woods in their autumn colours, identify mini-beasts and fungi, learn how woodland animals get ready for winter, play team games, and build their very own dens.
🍂 And so much more!
